When Will I Sea You Again?

Brandi is a 50-something island girl who gave up adulthood, or maybe avoided it entirely, when she moved to Marathon, Florida, at the tender age of 22, from Tucson, Arizona. 

During her several decades in the Keys, she has bagged bait, gassed boats, wrote grants, cleaned hulls, poured beers, dug ditches, coached swimmers, schmoozed tourists, rubbed backs, painted trap buoys, shook Key Lime martinis, life guarded at Pigeon Key and wrote for the Florida Keys Keynoter about the City of Marathon. 

In 2000, her story in the Keynoter about the privatization of Marathon’s new city government, garnered the First Amendment Defense (Jon A. Roosenraad) Award from the Florida Press Association. 

Nowadays, when she’s not fantasizing about fun story ideas and colorful characters, she’s the benevolent sadist of Island Pilates. She lives in Marathon with her own Jackson ;)
